The Stratford JV Baseball team improved to 2-1 on the season after defeating Woodland 7-3 Tuesday night at Berkeley. The Knights got strong pitching performances from 7th graders Jayden Maynor and Robbie Fleming, with 8th grader Dylan Stewart earning the save. At the plate and on the bases the Knights were aggressive. The team stole 8 bases on the night. Will McGuire had two walks and two stolen bases for the Knights, and 8th grader Cody Ward went 1-2 with two walks and a run scored. The Knights will return to action this Saturday in the final round of the Rotary Tournament. The team will face James Island in a battle of the #2 seeds. James Island claimed the #2 seed in the Goose Creek Bracket, while Stratford claimed the #2 seed in the Berkeley Bracket. The game will begin at 2:30 pm this Saturday, March 7th. The game will be played at Goose Creek High.
