The Stratford Baseball Program will continue open season practices Tuesday, January 7th. Practices will run from 4:15 PM until 6:00 PM and are open to any 7th-12th grade boy. Athletes must have their physical, dated after April of 2019, and signed by parent, athlete, and doctor on file with the Athletic Department. Athletes must also have their concussion awareness form, signed and initialed by a parent and the athlete, on file with the Athletic Department. These forms can be picked up in person in the Stratford Gym or can be retrieved on the site under the Sports Medicine Tab.
The open season is a time for skill development. This time will not be used to cut players from the teams. Try-Outs will not occur until February 3rd. Athletes should bring any equipment they feel they need to be successful on a daily basis. Athletes should also dress appropriately for the weather. In the event of rain, announcements will be made at the middle schools and high school regarding the status of practice. The announcement will also go out on the athletic website and the baseball twitter page (@StratHSBaseball).
Parents are reminded that practices are closed. This is a time for your athlete to be coached by our staff, and to ensure we have their full attention, we respectfully request that you don’t attend practice.
