Knights News · BERKELEY COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT: 2020-2021 SCHOOL REGISTRATION REMINDER


ALL BCSD students/parents will need to choose a learning pathway for the 2020-2021 school year. If a returning student’s learning pathway update is not completed by Wednesday, July 29, the student will automatically be enrolled in the blended distance learning pathway, which is an online learning pathway.

Registration is open as of July 15, 2020 for families to share their intent to participate in traditional learning or one of the online learning opportunities.

Students registering for the traditional learning model, understanding that BCSD cannot ensure social distancing in a public school or bus setting, will begin their school year on campus with the expectation that BCSD will operate in accordance with reasonable health and safety guidelines. In the event that local authorities close schools or initiate a stay-at-home order, these students will transition to blended distance/virtual learning.

Families choosing to register for blended distance learning or virtual learning will be required to participate in a parent and student orientation and will have access to support and services.

STUDENT REGISTRATION
In an effort to streamline the efficiency of enrolling students and to simplify the registration of your child, we have implemented a web-based registration process in which all aspects of student registration, including document upload, can be completed online.
Those without the ability to register online will need to contact the school to arrange a date and time to register in person.
Returning Students Update
This required process is for students returning to Berkeley County School District from the previous school year and will allow you to enter accurate parent/emergency contact information, upload the required two proofs of residency, complete required annual forms/policies and select the learning pathway for each student enrolled with the District.
