Knights News · Baseball Conditioning Set To Begin Wednesday


Conditioning will begin on Wednesday January 13th for ALL 7th-12th grade boys interested in playing baseball this year at Stratford. The conditioning sessions will take place from 4:20 PM until 5:30 PM at the baseball field.  Players should wear a mask and clothes for conditioning. Baseball cleats should be worn to help with grip on the field. Please also be sure to have ride arrangements for the conclusion of the conditioning sessions.

Athletes are asked to fill out the Spring Sports Interest Form. This will help the coaching staff plan for the conditioning sessions. The form can be found by clicking HERE

Conditioning will take place on the following dates:

Wednesday, January 13th & Thursday January 14th (4:20-5:30)

Wednesday, January 20th & Thursday January 21st (4:20-5:30)

Monday, January 25th, Wednesday January 27th, & Thursday January 28th (4:20-5:30)

***CONDITIONING WILL NOT INCLUDE ANY BASEBALL SKILL WORK, THIS WILL BE SOLELY TO HELP GET ATHLETES INTO SHAPE FOR THE SEASON***

Players should wear athletic apparel for conditioning. They may bring cleats or spikes to help with grip on the field.

PLAYERS MUST HAVE ALL PAPERWORK ON FILE TO CONDITION AND TRY OUT FOR THE TEAMS. THE FORMS CAN BE FOUND ON THE SITE BY HOVERING OVER “MORE” AND THEN “SPORTS MEDICINE”

FORMS NEEDED:

  1. PHYSICAL FORM WITH PARENT PERMISSION SIGNATURES
  2. CONCUSSION AWARENESS FORM
  3. COVID-19 WAIVER

TRY-OUT INFORMATION

Try-Outs will begin Monday February 1st. High School players will try-out from 4:20 PM until 5:45 PM. Middle School Players will try-out from 5:45 PM until 6:45 PM. Try-Outs will run the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of February.

Players making one of the teams will report for practice on Thursday, February 4th. There will be a mandatory parent meeting for ALL players and at least one of their parent/guardian. This meeting will be held in the cafeteria beginning at 6:30 PM. This meeting will cover important information for the upcoming season and also go over our fundraiser.
