Wrestlers place at JF Byrnes Inv

The Stratford Wrestling Program had two wrestlers win their divisions at the James F. Byrnes Rebel Invitational, held at Byrnes High School. Seniors Kemp Shider and TJ Deveaux each won their respective divisions with Shider being named Most Outstanding Wrestler in the Lower Weight Classes. Congratulations to TJ and Kemp for representing Stratford well.

The numbers of Matt Wieters and Justin Smoak will be retired tonight, Monday, December 22, at 7pm. A decision about the location of the retirement will be made as the day goeson. Lady Knights Pick up 3rd Win of Season

The Stratford Girls Basketball team notched their third win of the season, with a 51-35 win over visiting North Charleston. The win improves the Lady Knights record to 3-5 on the season. Wrestling team places 2nd at Stall Duals tournament

The Stratford Varsity Wrestling team competed in the Stall Duals this past week, and the team came away with a second place effort, losing in the finals to Battery Creek. The Knights defeated Cane Bay, Academic Magnet, and Military Magnet during the duals. Earning multiple wins for the Knights were: Nick Qualls, Kemp Shider, J.D.

Wieters, Smoak to have Numbers Retired

Stratford standouts Matt Wieters and Justin Smoak will be honored by their alma mater Monday night when Stratford High retires their jersey numbers. The event will begin at 7 pm and is open to the public. The journey of Wieters and Smoak to the big leagues had several successful years at Stratford High School. They
