The Stratford JV Knights couldn’t overcome a slow start to their second game of the season, losing to the visiting Stall Warriors 46-37 on Monday night. The Knights couldn’t seem to get into a rhythm in the first quarter, finding themselves in a 14-6 hole after the first quarter. The Knights would get things going in the second quarter, but would enter the half trailing the Warriors 22-13. Stratford would chip away at the Stall lead in the third quarter, with Stall leading 31-24. That’s as close as the Knights would get, as Stall would shift the two point third quarter swing in their favor in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Jarel Cheeseborough would lead the Knights with 19 points. Sevaughn Washington would come off the bench and chip in 6 points for Stratford.

The JV boys return to action this Friday on the road. They will travel to take on the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes at 5:30 PM.
