The Varsity baseball team jumped out to an early lead and exploded for seven runs in the top of the fifth to run rule Cane Bay on Monday night. The Knights got an excellent start from Sophomore Jarrett Wagner. The righty tossed the complete game one hitter, striking out 11. At the plate the Knights were led by Wagner, Jachin Davis, and Gavin Garcia who each collected two hits. Davis had three RBI for Stratford while Garcia chipped in another. Also having hits for the Knights were JQ Crosby, Bryce Herpolsheimer, and Reece Scarbrough.
The Knights return to action Tuesday night at home against Cane Bay. The game has been moved up due to the threat of inclement weather on Wednesday.
