The Varsity Baseball team jumped out to a 5-1 lead over the visiting Wando Warriors and held on for a 6-5 victory to even the region series. Jachin Davis got the start on the mound for the Knights. He went four innings while surrendering one earned run and striking out four. Jameson Lee got the save for Stratford. At the plate the Knights tallied seven hits with Senior Gavin Garcia going 2-3. Also collecting hits for Stratford were Tripp Smith, JQ Crosby, Bryce Herpolsheimer, Walt Argrett, and Brayden Burnett.
The Knights return to action Friday at Wando in the rubber game of the series. Stratford will look for a win to keep hopes alive in the Region Championship hunt. First pitch is set for 6:00 PM at Wando.
