The bats came alive Wednesday night at Berkeley for the Varsity baseball team, but in the end the Knights came up short falling 10-9 in nine innings. Stratford had a season high 17 hits on the night and kept the pressure on the Stags. Ultimately Berkeley would score the winning run on a walk off single to center in the bottom of the ninth inning. Stratford returns to action Friday at home against Berkeley. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM at Stratford. The Knights will look to avoid the sweep and gain some momentum going into the last region series of the year.

Gavin Garcia and Reece Scarbrough also had multi hit nights with two a piece. Bryce Herpolsheimer had a two run home run for the Knights that gave the team a 7-3 lead after three and a half innings.
