Wednesday night, the Varsity Baseball team celebrated senior night and another region win. The Knights defeated Goose Creek 15-0. For the third game in a row the Knights offense has been a juggernaut, all leading to Stratford wins. Over the past four games, the Knights have scored 56 runs. They look to continue the momentum Friday on the road against Goose Creek to cap the season. Every Knight senior contributed Wednesday night. Senior David Sanders, sidelined for most of the season with an injury, got the start on the mound for the Knights. The righty went an inning and two thirds allowing no hits while striking out three. Seniors Gavin Garcia, Justin Schlag, Reece Scarbrough, and Ethan Cook all scored runs for the Knights with Schlag leading the way the two hits and three RBI.
The Knights return to action Friday at Goose Creek in the regular season finale and will begin the SCHSL 5-A Playoffs next week.
